Effective date: 8/22/2025

This Privacy Policy explains how NexTap (“NexTap”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use NexTap Pro, our NFC business card mobile application and related services (the “Service”).

  • Card Content: details you add to your NFC card (e.g., contact info, custom fields) and any images you upload.
  • Usage & Analytics: app interactions, NFC tap events (time, generic success/fail), device information (device model, OS version), approximate location (if your device shares it), crash logs, and diagnostics.
  • Identifiers: user ID, device identifiers, push notification tokens (if you enable push).
  • Support: messages or attachments you send to our support team.

2) How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including editing and publishing your card content.
  • Enable NFC features, deep links, and profile sharing.
  • Personalize the app experience and measure performance.
  • Send service communications and, if you consent, product updates or marketing.
  • Detect, prevent, and address security or abuse issues; debug and troubleshoot.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process personal data under these bases: contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (e.g., security, improvements), consent (e.g., marketing notifications), and legal obligation.

4) Sharing

  • Service Providers (Processors): hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and customer support tools. They access data only to perform services for us and follow our instructions.
  • Other Users / Public: when you publish or share your NFC card/profile, its content becomes visible to people you share it with (and anyone they forward it to). You can update or remove content anytime.
  • Legal & Safety: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business Transfers: if we merge, sell assets, or reorganize, your data may transfer as part of the transaction.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7) Your choices & rights

  • Access/Update: edit your profile and card content in the app.
  • Delete: remove content or request account deletion via email at contact@nextap.com.

  • CCPA/CPRA (California): we do not “sell” personal information; you may request disclosure or deletion of your data.

8) International transfers

We may process and store data in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to remove it.

10) Third-party services

Our app may link to external sites or use third-party SDKs (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, push). Those services have their own privacy policies. Review them before using those features.
